BRAUN SHAVERS
How do I clean the shaver?
After every shave, take off the foil frame and tap out lightly the remaining whiskers. Do not clean the foil with the cleaning brush. Clean the cutterblock thoroughly with the cleaning brush. The protective cap should then be placed back over the foil.
Should I use a preshave with my Braun shaver?
In general there is no need to use any liquid or powder preshave.
How long should my shaver's foil and cutter block last?
A precise answer is difficult to give because the length of the foil and cutter block's life really depends on shaving habits and beard type. We suggest the exchange when these parts are worn out which is usually the case after 1-5 years.
Why should I replace the foil and cutter block regularly?
Because, after replacing them, your shave will be closer, smoother and quicker.
How can I maintain the capacity of my rechargeable shaver?
You should follow carefully the hints in the instruction booklet. Before using it the first time, charge the battery fully. Then use it to shave normally, so that the battery is fully discharged. Then recharge the battery again to full capacity. Repeat this process of full discharging/full re-charging the battery at least twice a year. By the way, the Flex Integral 5550 and Flex Integral ultra speed 6550 shavers have an automatic discharge/charge feature.
Can I recharge my Braun shaver from a car lighter socket?
Yes you can, by using the Braun adapter cord which works with any Braun rechargeable+cord shaver (except those with 16 hours recharging time). Charge voltage should be 12 or 24 volts. If you choose this option, be prepared for a recharge time that's longer than charging from the mains supply.
Is there a worldwide warranty for Braun shavers?
Yes, every authorized Braun service center in the world will accept a Braun shaver for a free-of-charge warranty repair as long as your model is distributed in the respective country.
